The Lack of Wind
The lack of wind
Frost creeps in
Thick and heavy
Like the political agenda
Cuts to health care
And education
Sunday panelty rates
Hades may well
Freeze over
But
A frost is usually
Followed by a sunny day
And on the BBQ the bacon sizzles
The short skirt reveals too much thigh
But the frost
Has the last say
In the end
The cold shoulder
Goes with
The roast of the day
And a free bottle
Of red.
