The Knight's Demise

Down through the night, it's infamous knight
Rides through the battlefield of a war long lost.
Settles upon the spot of it's demise.
The petals glow in a strange light.
What an eerie sight...

The midnight rose sways with the wind,
Singing songs of his comrades and him.
The thorns curse the traitor's ghost.
The one who sold the kingdom for gold.
Floats upon this battle-worn ground.
Not a body nor a trace to be found.
