The Kingdom

Promise me the Kingdom, if I tell you the truth,
Where rivers of cola shimmer their length;
And arrays of burger-trees rain their fruits,
My little sprite laughs into my angry face,
Beholding the slender, swaying stick -
A dream of innocence, so pretty, so slick.
