The King Without a Crown

You came so suddenly, Bringing great terror in your arrival like many before you, Who are you that you should be crowned king that all men bow before you, Depriving us the right to demonstrate affection to those we meet by not permitting touch, You have chosen to conquer territories in different continents and because of such, We closed up our borders and set travel boundaries, To prevent you from entering our lands, yet you forced your way into our countries, What was the reason for that if not but to destabilise our economies. No rest, no rest, no rest We will not rest till victory is assured, we will not rest till your crown is dispossessed. Panic-gripped and fear stricken, we closed up factories and delayed production, Yet you thrived and rejoiced in the wake of our destruction. Leaving parents without children, leaving children without parents, This seems to be, your very special talent. Prolific mass murderer, but like all your predecessors, You will be defeated because you undermine our warriors. Coronavirus we defy you, and approach you with strong condemnation, You proclaimed yourself a monarch and requested an audience for your coronation, We will attend it just to plot your assassination. You crowned yourself king even though you don’t wear a crown, Your reign of terror will soon come to an end to this we have vowed. No rest, no rest, no rest We will not rest till victory is assured, we will not rest till your crown is dispossessed. We charge you for the murder of our loved ones and pronounce judgement upon you Death will be your sentence and for all who come after you. For those you’ve placed in quarantine, We’ll have your head in the guillotine. We’ll not endure your tyranny You will be defeated inevitably No rest, no rest, no rest We will not rest till victory is assured, we will not rest till your crown is dispossessed.
