Notes About The Poem

What a God!

The King

The King

There is a King Who is not of this world
One Who is all knowing and all seeing and of Whom we as humans will have to do,
Who before Him we will stand and give an account of all
we have done in this life, I pray, I’ll be ready how about you?

One, Whose judgment is fair and just,
No, there will be no bribing before His seat,
for He knows the beginning to the end and knows where or not you’re guilty
and will render a swift sentence as you stand at His feet.

One not need to stand before God’s White Throne of Judgment
for Jesus paid this price for one and for all,
it is up to men individually to accept Jesus’ work for their life since
He’s removed the partition between God and man as it was a fixed great wall.

No, He is not just waiting to strike you when you’ve done something wrong
as many have foolishly said,
so Great a King So Great our God, He would only have to stop thinking about you
and we would immediately we would be dead.

He is so far above and not below
the One Who put a bow in the sky as a covenant between Him and man,
and has held back His wrath as time lingered on
to save as many of us as He can.

You ask me, “What do you think about this Great King of Kings”?
Well, I would have to say, my words at the least cannot describe,
the true and lasting beauty, the Glory of One I’ve not seen yet then
for now, I’ll write only in part till face to face I meet Him on High.
