The King
Men rise and fall and go astray,
but there are those whose name would stay,
they might be gone but still live
in the hearts of those who believe.
Like a warrior, brave and mighty,
his legend came to fame,
like a blazing torch of glory
that consecrates his name.
He was a ruler in his days;
He ruled the hearts and souls that craved;
He sowed smile in weary hearts;
He made hard days easy to pass.
Yes, he was a king on his stage;
He sang his hymn of reign and praise;
The crowd would chant in deep amaze,
more when his body gyrates.
Everytime he played his song
all the voices came in tune,
for his charm surged like a storm;
Every heart and soul was blown.
But like the whirlwind,
the tide of time may come a sudden;
Just like the quiet wind,
it may not even show an omen.
A dusk in time, the world in daze;
A gloomy tune had come to craze;
The night eclipsed the dawn of day;
The mighty king had come to lay.
But his greatness has held his crown,
for time esteems the sage of reign;
His name was praised in dusk and dawn;
His kingdom stays in hearts that yearn.
