The Killing Season

give me a reason to take the pain in this season of heavy rain I was a glass gong just waiting to be shattered but I feared for so long that nothing else mattered so keep your faith and your broken word no one is safe from the double edge sword now I just want to know how to be who I was but I can't let go its not what a warrior does so bring on the pain and screw the reason because in this rain its the killing season note....I cant believe how many lines start with and in this poem I have my plate and fork out and am ready to eat crow

In life most things are like double-edged swords...just like pills & love and their side effects. But we can't stay caged all our lives in fear of repercussions....courage is the way ahead. // paul

A river of powerful force you painted in this write. The mental force of a warrior's spirit. As part Native American I see truth and pain blended in that cold, dark rain! Truly excellent use of rhyme and flow to paint the unseen force! Bravo!!

Rhyme poem something I wish to have when I'm writing my spiritual poems. I'm the disabled and I do want a scooter myself, just imagine me walking with a cane carrying heavy load, thank you for your comment.

Nothing will ever tempt me to turn veggie. I see a few song lyrics/titles in here or is it just pure coincidence - love my music 'nothing else matters' awesome track - forgive my ramblings probably nothing to do with the write! Hugs Jan and thanks for you lovely comment on my page. xxxx

LOL, I don't know why, but I feel like killing ZOMBIES all of a sudden. Forget the cattle. Lets, eat fresh meat.... LOL, Don't do anything unearthly, YEAH! Cows, matter. sending love and hugs. PSSSSS....by the way, a gong, can't be glass. Just metal... But, in this case, I see a metaphor going crack, and not gooooong.... Anyways, I love the sound of broken glass. .... always and forever YOURS ~ Poet WonderStone. :)XOXOXOX XOXO XOX XOX ~ Linda
