The Kept Woman
She was a kept woman
alone most of the time
up in her tower
the mistress on
the other side of town
out of the way
she was the other woman
and didn’t mind
it had its perks
she lived a life
of fantasy
love and vacation
unreal untrue
living a lie in shadows
on a bed of roses
