The Judgement
In a game of chess a move was made
A move of life and death;
A move to challenge the right to rule
A piece that lost its breath.
A dice was rolled in the game of life
A chance to wound the king;
Darkness sought to usurp the rule
Through accusation and strife within.
The judges hammer hits the bench
As the Eternal One said, "ENOUGH!"
"My fires will test these idle threats.
I call the enemy’s bluff."
Now gather before Me the people involved
And I will expose the depths of the sin.
Now stand your ground in the light of My glory
As I purge out your motives within.
It brings no pleasure to My heart
The finger of accusation and strife
Who made you ruler, who made you judge
To challenge my leader's life?
Where were you when the council was called
Authorities were given and borders were set?
Where were you when wisdom was needed
And the balance of scales was met?
What would you do with My people from here?
Advise Me of when, where and how.
Obviously your wisdom and knowledge is great
So give Me your answer right now.
Before it was, where were you?
And when it comes where will you be?
What once was, how was it there?
And before it is, what do you see?
I've given the life of My Son for you
I've spilt the blood of the One.
And by grace you have all that I have
What more could I have done?
Is the cross not enough, and the blood that was shed
That you would treat my shepherd with shame?
Is the crown not enough, and My life that I give
That you look for someone to blame?
Now humble yourself and consider your ways
Take heed of the decisions you make.
I offer you life, so don't choose death
Repent and your ways do forsake.
