The Joy of Reconnecting

He laid there staring in outer space His face showed no kind of emotion whatsoever. She was confused as to what he was thinking, Suddenly her heart started to race, She calmly took a slow deep breath Slowly enjoying inhaling The scent of the disinfectant Soaring high in the air surrounding them He sits up reached out and held onto her hand And immediately she went into his arms delightedly. They hugged and squeezed each other tightly While the tears from their eyes flow down their happy faces. After a long hugged and everlasting squeezed They finally freed themselves. I knew you would come he said With his lips quirked upwards in a joyous smile You know me well she responded I would never give you the pleasure Of dying without saying good-bye She threw her arms around his neck And leaned against his chest for support Time stood still and the silence engulfed them. He could hear the pounding of her heart. The kiss deepening until they both pulled away In breathless wonders
