The Journey of Wind

I feel the vigor in your power
Your gusts, you’re tower

Such beauty yet such ruin all in your mighty hands
A blessing on a hot day relieving, fanned

Whisking cool breezes across the plains
You’re calling out, now howling freedom no doubt

Caressing my face tickling my hair
As it dances in the air

Your lift carries seeds to places you plan
All in your dancing wind strands

You fill sails on boats traveling in motion
You put flight to birds skimming the ocean

What would it be without your movement in the trees?
What is your purpose to movement if seized ?

Good rhyme and pictures painted in words, nice use of couplets, a good poem to read. I feel as I would love to feel the wind on my face, thanks for sharing. I am new on this site, Judy Riley

I love the wind in all of the aspects that you described in this poem. Wind is my favorite element, and can manifest in so many different ways! As you say, "What would it be without your movement in the trees?" The air would be empty indeed without the wind! Thank you so much for your comments on my poem "'Wild Child' Wind" ...Don't worry...No problem about the name mix-up :) Take care, and have a Happy New Year! ~Juliane
