The Journey of a Drop

The drop in millions of them
Waits in the ocean for its turn
To go up to the heavens

It believes it'll stay there
Because the drop before it
Rose and never came back to the sea

Its wish comes true
And the droplet hovers up to the gray clouds
It becomes a part of a cloud and wonders
If this is how its life will be

In the cloud, it feels
Not quite what it expected
Confused, the water drop waits more

The droplet thinks that there must be something
Beyond, beyond the sky that it will go
And suddenly, the sun hides behind a cloud

The drop falls, rushing to the earth again
It feels suspended in the air for a moment
Then hits the floor, soaking into the earth
