The Journey

So swiftly now the fading years, Lived well somehow through tears and cheers. Signposts served well in passage rites, Thoughts and books tell of frequent writes. Curious the times going back then, All sorts of rhymes align those bends. Change has brought me to this new year, Yes I can see faith push pass fear. Each moment comes like a highlight, A shiny sum to set fond sights. The journey here to fund re-birth Affords bold cheer to walk the earth. So many things and lessons teach, Just play and fling with ample reach. Love is the key to mystery, Joy comes for free if you but see. Live each day's plot with sanguine feel, Act upon thought and work goodwill. Do all you can to touch and heal, Focus most grand on how you feel. Awake and see the goodness here, Aware can be the cause you cheer. Too soon the end can be a shock, Do all you can to live bold stock. The world you found may be unkind, Still bless the grounds and serve the blind. And when you leave these hunting grounds, Know that less grief followed your rounds. In praise or blame, rise above gain, Love succeeds name despite the pain. Leon Enriquez 28 January 2015 Singapore
