The journey

Clinging on determinedly To the ferociously fast train My palms burning in agony Turning what I called home A tiny speck in the distance But 'home' is in ruins now With bombs falling everywhere Anywhere Sirens wailing in my ears Heartbreaking cries of newborn babies Tear-jerking screams of loved ones Being forced out of my home The place I slept The place I wept The place I dreamed The place I lived The moonlight shines in the dark Guiding my way Yet I still question Will I ever belong?
