The Journey

In this journey through the path,
towards the end of the tunnel.
Each step bringing me closer,
to the one true love,
to You.

This journey and all the wounds,
The joy, the hurt, the love, the loneliness,
In no way I come through unscathed,
But I am carrying them,
As the badges of honor, of life

Will I be proud of who I am,
What I am, where I was,
when I finally meet You?
Will I be amongst those who, although wounded, make it to Your Throne?
Will I be amongst those who are united with the love ones? The ones You love?

This brief journey,
Under the sun, the moon,
Through the joy, sorrow, excitement, loneliness,
will never last forever,
So please allow me, to fight the correct battles,
That I can stand tall when the time comes,
To return, to You.
