The Journey
Many, many long years ago
Began the longest walk
With this dream called life
A journey with my soul
Embedded in life spent alone
along the shores of pain.
Mind sinking in blue
When I am old
Dying bit by bit inside
Singing the old age blues
Longing to be young again.
As I sit and watch the wind blow
From the horizon of eternity
Through the clouded window of time
The only thing that matters now
When twilight arrives with a sigh
Start stepping through time.
I hear in me musings of an aging man
For him the time has come
Start journey inward
In search of peace
Following sound of silence.
