____________________________________________________________________

The jig of emotions goes on.
Always our feelings are changing.
We’re happy. When sad, joy is gone.
Life events keep rearranging.

When happy, we kick and we hop.
The jig of emotions goes on.
Life’s tempo is quick; should it slow,
we feel some monotony . . . yawn.

When calm or relaxed, like a swan,
we glide! Some emotions are brief.
The jig of emotions goes on -
barely moving when we feel grief.

Love is what helps us not stumble.
Though to hate or envy we’re drawn,
keep the beat; try not to grumble.
The jig of emotions goes on.

This line was spot on correct. "barely moving when we feel grief." It is true the jig of emotions goes on. Great job on this with a message I agree with. Congrats on your win in my contest.

love the way you've written this, my friend. You asked if you'd missed an email - yes, I think you probably did as I answered the last one I got from you. Hope all's well there - or as well as it can be right now x

Dear Andrea, Wow, this one is so relatable and insightful because emotions are so important to us. I just loved how you captured the full spectrum of emotions that range - from joyful kicks and hops to the stillness of grief. And yes we are to love amid the tumult things of life. Andrea this poetic piece for me is an empathetic companion for life's emotional dance. - Blessings, MY Friend, Daniel

Love is what helps us not stumble...with our many emotions what draws us back, if we let it. Nice one, Andrea!

Andrea, this loaded with great information about feelings. If I were a psychiatrist, I think I would have it framed and post it on the wall in my office! The structure and flow appeal very much and all can relate to it. Well done!!!
