Notes About The Poem

The Jewel That You Are

                             11/13/2023

Living in the glorious now, is the only way to go!
Stop thinking, you must be top dog in the show.

What good wearing that golden crown be?
Ignore the most lonely crowd, throwing faux-flowers at thee!

Your true friends will read you, no need to wear a crown.
Write exactly as you choose, care-not, their scowls or frowns!

Walking down a cat walk modeling poems for a crowd would not be a place either if us would enjoy Pangie... but a sidewalk on a warm summer day I could walk and chat with you for hours! Regards A.S.

He Antonio, I don’t think I can write anymore, by choice. There are issues that are immense facing our very existence in any country, There is NO rule that poetry has to be divorced from reality! We can make a differences ,but I have grown weary of my mediocre poems, and yes it’s fun getting a POTDl. That last one was not mediocre!. . The last half of your comment was indeed moving))That you got to know me here and yes, we could chat for hours. And,,,no need for “Congratulations.”. God be with you you…Pangie xxxxx soupmail in an hour 8am PST

Love the first line that explodes with truth! So many good lines with advice here. Luckily we are free to post what we write on the Soup, and are happy with the few crowns that fit.

Hey,David, we cannot live in yesterday or tomorrow,)) even if the now is sad, no need to run from it. I wrote-a paper, “The Classroom of the Now”. It was used for teens in trouble..I wish I had a copy of it.yes, yes, we can do as we wish here..not all of us are made the same way. Hoping we can honor and respect differences xxxx

I like the message in your impassioned poetry, Pangie, and the photo was a beautiful match for your poem. The intent is important and therapeutic when writing poetry, my friend. Hugs, Bill

Hello, Sara’s Sweetheart! You two are quite magnificent in both poetic and friendship arenas.. I happen to like humility as quality in people. The writersI know, the singers, those on stage, are humble and grateful people.including Pulitzer Pride writers. This includes those in the human potential movement And scientists.this flooored me.they all were deists and thankful to God! Glad you liked the image and poem. Pangie,xx
