The Irresistible Dream

I held her once or was I was dreaming?
Her beauty, it was beyond any I know
Her touch was like that of heaven
As we danced so close and slow
Her warm breath on my trembling neck
Caused everything around to melt
Oh, the feel of this excitement
Was something this heart never felt?
The night was ours for the taking
The smoothness of her body so divine
Her whispers of love ever lasting
Suggested she was forever to be mine
The world spun around on her axis
All creatures smiled when she past
The feel of her skin next to mine
Was something I wanted to forever last
The music seemed to come alive
And her beauty was for all to see
But I awoke as she slowly drifted away
And no dreams of her now come to me
I try to dream her back, but it’s useless
She’s nowhere to be found anymore
That’s why my eyes are now droopy
Because I’m constantly walking the floor
Life without her makes me unhappy
And they buried this unhappy guy today
And now I lay in a cold dark grave
Seems there’s nothing more I can say
