The Invisible Cat

THE INVISIBLE CAT

he was out all night
our tabby cat named tiger
he’s beat – sleeping now
i asked him very kindly,
“where do you go all night, tig?”

no answer, of course
kitties eat then disappear
no one knows just where
they are so sleek and so slim
any crack is wide enough

how fascinating
how strange to visualize –
our tig slipping through
into this alternate world
known only to the feline

i’ve often seen tig
blank, staring off into space,
his feet in motion,
hunting in this paradise
where no effort will recall

Lovely write, Daver! He must be running back in his dreams from one paradise to the one that you have unselfishly shared with him. Keep well, love, Mikki

What ever would l do without my morning greeting and conversation with my Tommy cat? He begins everyday with a smile from me. I loved your poem about tiger. They make the most delightful pets. Mahalo

How nice it must to be a cat....slipping off into paradise and being quite satisfied with their own world.. A very enjoyable read :)
