The Inscription

Finally,

What I wished for came to pass.

After many decades of a turbulent life, I managed to reach

The gates of old age!


Now,

 
Before them I stand,

pondering at the inscription written above the entrance:

"Enter at your own risk!"

David Smith March 3, 2020 at 4:05 AM I think ridicule may be one of the risks of growing old. Jesus accepted the ridicule so should we. Old age is a privilege not granted to all. Our eyesight and our hearing may diminish but we get the chance to see and hear things we never saw or heard when we were younger and we can feel things more acutely.
