The Inner Shrine

I choose to freely write, you see though readers have audacity to tag their labels onto me I smile and simply let them be what lies between each single line though but a shade of something fine a merest sip of finest wine is rhyming sign to inner shrine these words: a place of sacred light that's safe from words that mar and blight no evil enters to affright each poem stands, a heroed knight and peace pervades, for all is well a paradise to counter hell the stories of my life, I tell no single soul this joy can quell so read and stay with me awhile forget the ones whose words are vile embrace this time, and choose to smile For words we share make life worthwhile Eileen Manassian

May your muse always stand by your side, Eileen. Poetry is a true friend, keeping us company through lovely and hard times. As an aside...I love the ease with which you write, the undulating rhyme and impeccable metric delivery; few are those who are born with such a gift. Hugs // paul

Writing does indeed add to life and having them resonate with them is the icing on the cake.

Thanks, Richard. I haven't had the luxury of late to enjoy my writing. I'm trying to make time for it, because it gives me life. Hugs

You have taken the words from my mouth! I just hope you will share the wine! Now I must say, loved this poem from start to end, but I really loved the line "each poem stands, a heroed knight" Hugs!

Yes, Tim. My heart has been quite worried of late. I haven't been around much lately, and coming back I see things that sadden me. Good to have your visit.
