The Ink Pen of History

History should happen in pen of ink, not pencil of lead. It must not be erased, or hyper-spaced, or gently changed by those who think their own wishes instead. We often say, "It is what it is," and fully believe that to be true. If that is the case, "It was what it was," is also true too. Yesterday's lessons cannot go unlearned unless we succumb to the fear of the past. Today's bravery is to look into the face of the cancel culture and say, "We renounce you," at last!

The Not-So-Natural-Voiced Poet might feel ashamed of this after consuming Scott's Ink Pen of History. The Poem's sincere lines are quite sure that The Facts of History deserve the same respect as a Rigid Constitution or Buddhist Temple.

Thank you. Let history be real. Statues should stand. Just as no book should be banned.

I agree 100%, Scott. Teddy Roosevelt said, "The more you know about the past, the better prepared you are for the future."
