The Inhumane Tragedy of Slavery

The dark holds of ships cast by shackles' cruel embrace, Lies the tale of inhumanity's grim trace. From yonder shores, stolen lives in chains, Where anguish reigns, a heart's bitter pains. Bound by masters' callous hands, they weep, Their spirits bruised, their dreams buried deep. Oh, slavery's mark, a stain on mankind's soul, A chapter of history we can never console. For in the fields, beneath the scorching sun, Their bodies toil, a battle never won. Silent cries echo through the darkest night, Each tear shed, a beacon of shattered light. The auction blocks, where humanity is sold, Trading flesh and dreams, a story untold. Families torn asunder, hearts torn apart, A cruel symphony, played with no remorseful heart. But from the ashes of oppression's cruel game, Resilience rises, igniting freedom's flame. Harriet's whispers guide through perilous flight, As heroes emerge, championing what's right. In humanity's journey, we confront the past, To forge a future where equality will last. The scars of slavery still etched in our soul, A reminder to heal, strive for a world made whole. Let justice reign, in every heart and land, United, we stand, and firmly we demand, An end to the chains that bind and divide, For in our unity, humanity shall reside.
