The Infinite We

Nothing left for me to say
I'm a girl and I am gay
Nothing left for me to find
Born a boy believing blind

Sober..alone..connecting the dots
Bittersweet thoughts are all that I got
Suicide mixed with dashes of hope
Stories I wrote when I couldn't cope

Oh, carry me through, these visions of you
Echoes of her in the planes out of view
Holding our hands, together we stand
She smiles back at me with her toes in the sand

The waves crashing in like a tranquil melody
Thinking of me in the tsunamis at sea
The hell that I feel with sober clarity
She smiles back at me, saying "I will live free"

..."so you can finally see"...

The waves crash on me like I'm standing with her
The moment retreats like the tide, in a blur
Connected out there, every you and every me
The universes fade into infinite horizons of "we"

Nothing else to be
We'll always be free
And we will simply be
Together we're free
