The Inevitable

Why is it now I’m aware of what I never knew before.
Why does it remind me constantly.
Lurking behind every corner.
Nervous to do anything.

Does everyone else feel what I feel?
Closer and closer it creeps
Following close behind.

It knows when it’s time and I don’t want to know.
I don’t want to know anything.
Yet I can’t escape it.
None of us can.

Each passing day, it’s that much more real.
Each passing day its closer to home.
It’s like being stalked by the inevitable.
Like a bomb you cant stop.

You cant escape either.

Before it didn’t matter, I was young and didn’t think.
The more you know the wiser you get to it.
The more real it becomes
Like the boogeyman.

Only reverse.

This is the real boogeyman.
And it is coming.
