The Impossible

I closed my eyes to the insecurities you hid behind and opened them to the wonderful person you are I looked through your eyes and saw your soul I reached out my hand for you to hold Again and again you refused But there was something about you that kept me amused I saw this side of you that you wouldn't show it You would never tell I knew that God must be missing an angel In my heart you always soared across my sky If you would only spread your wings and fly As time passed my heart grew fonder of you My love grew I fell hard for you But it was all those other girls that caught your eye Picturing you make them happy made me cry Everynight I would say a prayer That when I awoke you would be there But fate is unstoppable You became mine I've learned to never underestimate the impossible
