The Importance of Tea Parties

you tell me about
the ghosts
you talk to at night
how they keep you company
in the eye of the hurricane
you call your life

you serve them tea
and ask if they would
prefer milk or lemon
one lump or two
laughing at all the appropriate
places in your eerie conversation
as the maelstrom of madness
swirls around you

so ethereal…
you escort your guests
to the door
asking if they had a good time
you tell me about
the importance of tea parties
and how you would go crazy
if you couldn’t have one
every night

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
