The Importance of Dreaming
Children know how to dream -
both asleep and awake.
They understand playful creation.
This is how each morning
the world is remade.
Nightmares, sweet dreams,
light and dark sinking or basking.
Imagination in endless shades
of reconstruction.
Interpret all with valleys of hope,
and pinches of salt.
Dreams animate spirit,
shape new aspects of infinity.
They contain the seeds we all need
to grow this cosmic garden.
