The Idiot

The Idiot

You think I’m insecure
With all my rings, and all those things
But what you don’t see
Is a girl who's trying to be herself
I'm just trying to be me
You open up your eyes to a world
Where nothing is what it seems
But what you don’t see
Is nobody’s perfect, we’re only human beings
You look at me like I’m some trash
That in this world, I just don’t belong
But what you don’t see is
The more hypocritical you are,
The more you become wrong
Baby, you’re only making me strong
In a world full of hate and prejudice
I know how to hold my head up high
But can you? Ms. Conceited
Or do you hide behind a mask and live in a lie?
What the hell is wrong with you?
Nobody's superhuman and neither are you
Don’t you know you can’t just go around talking about people?
Honey, you’re not bullet proof!
Say the wrong thing to the wrong person
Who's not up to taking your crap
You keep on opening your big mouth like that
You might find yourself having a mishap
What you getting an attitude for?
I’m telling this to you straight
Better now than later down the road
When it’ll really be too late
But you know what? I don’t care what you do with your life
You go ahead and have your little fun
But don’t come back in my face talking all that nonsense
Cause, baby, I’m not the one!
