The Ides of March

The Ides of March, oh woe betide Twas on this day that Caesar died Stabbed by his double-dealing men Remorselessly, time and again. Twenty-three times the knives were thrust; Take care therefore in whom ye trust. 09.04.2022 Bite Size Poem No.43 Poetry Contest Sponsor - Line Gauthier

Lovely lines, and informative as well, Wendy. I am personally more worried about the ides of April when our income taxes are due here in the US! Congrats on your win ~ John

Congratulations on your win, Wendy. Nice theme for March, instead of "windy". i wrote a similar one for Andrea Dietrich's contest. I researched that it was sixty men who led the charge and had not read that they delivered only 23 punches. but after all, how dead can one person get?
