The Hyena
Cackle cackle friend or foe
Four legged creature after a doe
Carnivorous lusting flesh and bone
Cackle cackle lustrous loud tone
Front legs long back legs short
Pointed snout hunters' snort
Under the moon his curious treks
Sniffing out prey rodents and snakes
Cackle cackle friend or foe
Hunting in packs as they go
Tipping and whining shaking the bush
Small creatures scatter irradiating the hush
Cackle cackle Hyenas' loud laughing tone
Run from it creatures save your bone
His wit is not wise but his craft is inborn
Run creatures before your hide is torn
