the hurt child
the hurt child
His father had been away for a long time
Although their mother had divorced
her husband he visited his children
his young son was excited
he could hardly remember his dad
when he came smelling of beer,
pointed to the pale little child and said
Whose son is that
instantly the bitter disappointment the child
the hurt was so deep he withdrew
into his inner world
The father spoke to him again, but he didn't
apologized, said he was only joking
Too late, the child didn't talk to him again
When the father visited again, the youngest
son sat in another room, refused to see
his father, the adults didn't understand
when the father died, the son didn't appear
a his funeral.
Emotionally fractured it took him many
years to recover.
