The Hurricane

We hear about the hurricane But we are miles away. My family won’t evacuate - They think they’ll be okay. There’s nothing we can do from here Except to sit and wait And hope their instincts prove them right And that they’re not too late. So many storms are not as bad As weathermen predict, So maybe Mother Nature has Got everybody tricked.

Oh boy… do you need to know about a fellow called Michael Fish. Actually told the nation that someone had called and said a massive storm was coming. ‘No,’ he said but it might be breezy (I paraphrase)… next morning… cars in trees! That was 1985… He never lived it down. Hope your kin are okay, Ilene

I hope your family is alright. I've known people that enjoy them. It isn't my thing.
