The Hunger

"The Hunger"


Everyone should want to hear these words
                      "I Love You"
To hear these words mean so much and true

To hear it from a spouse, the heart flutters with joy
                      "I Love You"
Sealed with a kiss for both to enjoy

To hear from a child, straight from the heart
                      "I Love You"
Arms wide open, hugs no one can tear apart

To hear from a friend, friend to the end
                      "I Love You"
Their trust you can always truely depend
   
To love oneself before you can love another
                      "I Love You"
A better, stronger, new you, prepared for others

The hunger of wanting to hear the words
                      "I Love You"
                        is natural
   the greatest gift to be given and taken 
  this seed of love can never be overheard
