The house

I was the house
At my window
There was a neon sign:

                         - Fixing broken things -

Every doorstep crossing
Took a piece of me and left

I became a house without the walls
                           without the curtains
                           without a table

A ruin

But
One morning
Standing across the mirror
I became a foundation
