The Horned Moses

Any brave, dedicated soul who has made it
To their mountain top of lofty summit
And looked down upon a setting sun
As it bleeds the last few hues of daylight

Or has braved the predawn chill
For no other reason than to feel the thrill
Of the sun's ebbing spring at sunrise
Jumping forth beneath their always awestruck eyes;

Or has looked down from the rocky peaks of destiny,
At any time of day, to bear witness to the extraordinary
Path that had brought their journey to a moment of oneness
Such a soul has nothing left
but to maintenance that heavenly transcendence.
