The Hoh Valley Rain Forest
In Olympic National Park in the state of Washington,
there is quite an unusual phenomenon.
The state as a whole does not get much rain or snow.
However, here is a fact I did not previously know:
There is a spot in the park where it rains a hundred inches or more.
See thick moss on the trees when you take a tour.
Certainly, it rains more often in the spring.
Rain every day in the season is the usual thing.
You can feel the damp moisture in the air.
In the summer, it’s like a steam bath everywhere.
There is plant life growing that is unique to the area.
It is one of the more fascinating places in North America.
