The Hijab of My Novia Part 2

I see the beauty within you —
a beauty that doesn’t fade or boast,
but lives quietly in your spirit
and teaches my heart how to smile again.
Meeting you felt like stepping into a moment
the Divine had prepared long before I understood it.

Being part of your world,
offering you support,
and feeling your appreciation in return —
these things touched me more deeply
than I ever expected.
Love and gratitude are not feelings
I have known often,
yet they rise in me every time
your presence crosses my mind.

Each thought of you becomes a soft warmth,
a reminder that kindness still exists,
that understanding still has a home.
Your compassion, your patience, your grace —
these are qualities worthy of a promise,
the kind of promise reserved only
for the metaphorical rib,
the one chosen by destiny’s hand.

If this is the Will of the Divine,
then let the Divine unfold it.

Your hijab, your dignity,
your quiet revelation in my life —
they feel like glimpses of a future
I can almost see,
a future written in sincerity and faith.
And though your name may mean girlfriend,
if it be the Will of the Almighty,
I would hope for something deeper,
something sacred,
something that one day
could even carry my last name.
