The Hidden Voice
There is a voice that lives inside,
Its confident and loud,
But always overshadowed,
Like the sun behind a cloud.
Waiting, hoping for release,
To speak many a word,
Yet you hide it deep inside,
You have a fear of being heard.
Its a miserable existence,
so grim and sad and black,
Each forward step this voice shall make,
Is doubled going back.
If only it could wriggle free,
Then life would be so great,
No more fears or worries,
No more need to wait.
The person on the outside,
Is misunderstood by some,
They don't know of all the problems,
You are yet to overcome.
Why's there such a struggle,
How can it be such a chore,
To hold your head up high,
Instead of staring at the floor.
If only you could take a risk,
Give that voice inside a try,
To speak up and be heard,
and break the curse of being shy.
You have the voice inside you,
Fight the fear and set it free,
Share your knowledge and opinion
See how useful it can be.
