The Hidden Nature Trail
On the frigid wings of the northern wind,
waned winter with frayed feathers flies away,
clearing haze from fringe of sky’s misty mind,
song bird’s chime ripples life on canvas grey.
Fawn meadow shines with emerald shade new,
in sunburst sky hues of horizon sail.
Dawn’s dulcet gems drape grass with crown of dew,
spring sequins reveal hidden nature trail.
On satin leaves’ cradle blooming buds glow,
with color crescendo the petals dance.
Zephyr floats floral fragrance on soft flow,
butterflies flitter in the tune of trance.
Away from the noise lone life’s bedlams fling,
I get as the gift of God one more spring.
