The Heavenly Rain
The heavenly rain
Grows crops and grain
And paints the world green.
It stoops so low
Where grasses grow
But keeps the earth clean.
I laugh aloud
And run around
When the sky has lost its hue.
The droplets drenched
Has thirsts quenched
And gives everyone his due.
When rain falls,
Like pearl drops
And clouds cover the sky,
I run outdoors,
And sway to its scores,
So none can see me cry.
Amidst the rain
Behind the pane
A sick boy wages his battle.
The stream overflows
Behind lush meadows
Where cowboys graze the cattle.
When showers come
It washes scum
And removes all that's filthy.
Wish it could
Do some more good
To keep our minds healthy.
