The Heart's Keeper

The bird has gone away
and with its sudden flight
Knew winter's on the way
...I called the bird on high
To take along my heart
To where it would find warmth
To let it never part
To keep it beating strong
And warm the winter long.

This has the charm and allurement of the elusive romantic. You know, it takes a lot of skill to write these. You are Blessed, Carolyn! I'm better at She Chatte Whaa Whaa's...not so fun!:( Have a great weekend! Best to you and yours, Mikki

Having just read the other poem you posted yesterday, I think that "bird" has given you wings to soar joyfully through life, weathering each season with someone special by your side. Can you see me now? I'm doing the dance of joy. Love, Carolyn
