The Hearthrug of Life Has Been Removed

The hearthrug of life has been removed
From under my feet like a wave of water
From between my fingers like honey
From under my nose like your scent

I felt royal blood flow in my body
Only now 6 years later do I feel
Like a vagabond only worse
Like fish out of its tank.

You helped me build up a castle
We placed the foundations in the sky
Only for you to pull it down
Brick by brick. cement, piece by piece
