Wild hearts, dancing in color
Focused only on the music, the hues
Vibrant and without purpose, brilliant
As the whimsical dreams, laughter
Flooding the darkness of a night
Amused by the madness, like mania
Furious and fanciful, erasing
Gentle hopes, dreams who embrace
The silence, the stirring of joy
Complete truth anchored in the wonder
Fleeting tears, sliding slowly
Over a soft cheek, reminding the
Spirit to imagine, to believe
To fall deeper into the love that
Abides inside the soul who knows
Barrenness will fade away
Leaving purity that embraces
In breathless promises, passionate
Adoration, praising the moments when
There was a reason to remember
Fitting her – this wild, willful spirit –
into the even, steady – consistent
would be like fitting a round ball
into a square cut too small, too perfectly
too flawless, indeed, for the time
when she could reach beyond her hunger
and discover the meaning of calm,
the sense of relaxed, still, quiet…
like the silence that embraces spirits
who don’t feel the desire for this thrill,
this wildness that lingers in hearts
who know only the storm who hides
behind soft, gentle clouds –
Like a angel, she smiles.. remembering
Only the appetite she has for strong,
Enthusiastic – fervent feelings…
Who remember her as the wind
That tore away the night
Rousing the kindness of the sunlight
Of what use are gloves to fingers that only understand mittens Poetry Contest
