I dont advise new poets except to write. That’s a discipline and a passion and a personal choice... Use classical forms, new people. It’s tepting to use none. Advice here ranges from sublime to ridiculous. The better you get, don’t expect to be liked. Darlene..kids write poetry in elementary school. Eddie writes better transom here. I think you are doing exactly what poets should do: speak the truth of one's heart -- whatever, and wherever the impulse. Some may agree...some may not.

The Truth of The Heart, beyond the shell...really piercing the dimension of yoke -- reaching, such center, requires a lot of dedication, and hard-work...and then, faithful intuition. Evolving often into prophesy. The heart, in its fullest expression, not simply an organ, nor a place where feelings and emotions are stored for regurgitation -- it is the human gateway to Divine Essence.

See my comment to Anthony, I mentioned you!)) Poetry is an art form. It’s not words on paper. Any goober can write from their heart. Excellent poetry is more demanding. I am not even near where I want to go. Agreement not needed on excellence. Take opera...or opera singers. You know the great ones. Not all poetry is great..Not mine, and this is a poem tightly crafted with hard edges.I like it. Most won’t. Hi Pangie, I hope evrything is going well for you i enjoy your poems as they are always filled with passion and a zest for life. poets should write about the not so nice subjects but there is also room for lighter topics.. its all part of the human journey.. Best Wishes, Anthony

Dear Anthony, Most would burn us both at the stake, happily. This site should be called...Pretty Soup...and no reality allowed. Reality can be beautiful in teaching us it’s ugliness. I cannot take joking about these scheisse times we live in. I do believe what Patrick Henry said, GIVE ME LIBERTTY OR GIVE ME DEATH. SUCH An ADMIRABLE COMMENT. I loathe dead fish comments.
