The Heart Of Poetry Lost in thoughts that fill my mind Dreams and visions intertwined Daydreaming takes me away To a place where I can play My imagination runs wild Creating worlds like a child And in these lands, I am free To be whoever I want to be I wander through these dreamscapes Creating poems with no breaks My mind races and it flows Rhymes and verses like a rose In my head, I am a poet Writing words, I don’t even know it But these daydreams, they inspire To put my thoughts on the paper As I write, the world fades away And in my mind, I’m here to stay I see beauty in the mundane And poetry in the rain I write love and heartache Of triumphs and mistakes These daydreams, they bring me peace And put my mind at ease Sometimes they’re just fleeting thoughts Other times more elaborate plots But in my head, I see it all And through poetry, I recall The beauty of daydreaming And the power of imagining To create something out of nothing And make it worth something I let your mind roam free And embrace this creativity For in daydreaming and imagining We find the heart of poetry.
