The Heart of Every Mortal

the heart of every mortal
wonder why their is a God
wonder why we hunger for
the supreme
wonder why we must look
up to God
before and at the end of time
wonder why the we fear
and fall back to the supernatural

the heart of every mortal
wonder why we worship
the powers of the world
wonder why we need the
energy of life always to
lead us through
wonder why we hope
even when we are down
to earth
wonder why some humans
are evil
wonder why their is
too many confusion in
the world

the heart of every mortal
wonder why we bleed in
darkness
while the light is never far
from our feet
wonder why we are slaves
in a free world
wonder why the good die
young
yet the bad get glorified
wonder why life is fair
yet dark in an era of destruction

the heart of every mortal
power intoxicate
so every human is guilty
no one could Denny our
imperfection
in man made civilization
we are mere material
In this era of smart technologies
we intoxicate nature
yet we need clean air
despite our pollution
despite we are so intoxicated
still there must be love in
the heart of every mortal

and the question is
what do we do with it
yes that love in
the heart of every mortal
