The Heart Is Shadowed
The heart is shadowed
The mind is hollow
The road forward is blocked
The road behind angry mobs follow
I run down to the left to the right
And find the sorrows of the heart
Overflowing
Where then do I go
I trust in my loved one to be strong
I trust in my loved one
But all to often am left in tears and a drowning sea
Where am I meant to go
Where do I turn
What do I do.
What can I do to make them realize
I love them. But I am not able to do much
To pick them up. To make them right
To bring them happiness and life.
I've paid the price many times over
So why are they forever hurting when I need them most.
Why can't they stop degrading themselves
When all things leave me in a cloud of pain and sorrows.
Where I once sought light in?
Do I dare to look to that source still?
I miss the past self that loved and supported and didn't leave me a mess of misery and times left scrambling in a mess
To find the way to improve our lifes.
