The Heart and Lies

The Heart and Lies

When you lie to yourself
The truth is distorted

When you lie to your heart
The truth changes everything

When you lie to another
The truth is changed

Yet the truth exists anyway

When you lie to the world
It is not life
But you
Who are changed

When you are changed
The world lies to you
And you no longer hear the truth

When you cannot hear the truth
Your heart suspects
Everything is a lie

When you lie in your heart
You will no the difference
Because the truth changes everything

Colin this is so clever. I had to read it several times. I finally got it. I love this write and you have penned another excellent write. Really enjoyed and appreciated. Michael Torres
